What began as sketches in the margins of notebooks turned into a decade-long practice across portraits, landscapes, animals, and abstract studies. Every piece starts the same way: with attention, before a single brushstroke.

Where it started
Cynthia's first pieces were small studies — faces and animals sketched for the sake of practice, long before "artist" felt like the right word to use.

A recurring fascination with expression led to a signature body of close-up eye studies — now one of the most requested collections.
Landscapes, animals, abstract
The practice grew outward: wide landscapes, animals caught mid-movement, and looser abstract work exploring color on its own terms.

Attention & Study
Before mixing paint, Cynthia spends hours studying the subject — mapping geometry, light direction, and focal points.
Underdrawing & Base
A loose grid guides the initial charcoal sketch. Underpainting establishes the primary value mapping and shadow shapes.
Layering & Finish
Acrylics are built up in thin, translucent washes, while oils are applied in thick impasto layers for depth. Shipped once dry.
